After 25 years working in the NHS my interest in people and their unique life stories led me to train as an independent celebrant.
I am committed to providing a sensitive, caring and creative approach to each ceremony.

Funerals and Celebration of Life
Whether you choose a service at the crematorium, cemetery or other location I am happy to officiate, alternatively you may prefer to hold a memorial , thanksgiving or celebration of life service.
I will support you throughout the process of organising and conducting the funeral service.
I can also lead a short ceremony for the internment or scattering of ashes.

Fees- these are included in the Funeral Directors fees and passed on to me.

FUNERALS
As an independent celebrant I will represent your wishes to create a unique, personalised and meaningful funeral service using your stories and memories, readings, poetry and music. I will lead the ceremony on the day but others are welcome to contribute.
I am happy to lead a non- religious service or one with some religious elements such as prayers, hymns anad blessings.

I will meet with the family , if at all possible but if this is not practical I will use a video call or speak by phone to get a picture of the life of your loved one, this normally takes 1-2 hours. Using this information I will write an individual eulogy and service.
This will always be emailed to you , in advance, for your approval.
My aim is to provide a caring, meaningful, professional and memorable experience.

Clare recently conducted my Grandmother’s funeral service and our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Clare for her services. Clare took the time to sit with us before the service to ensure that she could deliver a personal service full of meaning. Clare is able to quickly grasp salient information and knows precisely which pieces to put together and in what order, which results in a smooth process at what is already a difficult time. We knew that we were in safe hands with her from the very start and communication was excellent. Clare also strikes the right balance and tone in her delivery, which is calming, caring and reassuring.
